Lela Samushia
Born:1976. Graduate the Faculty of Western European Languages and Literature of I.Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University majoring in German Studies. Doctoral student at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main where under supervision of professor Iost Hipert had taken full course in comparative linguistics (2003). In 2007 delivered lectures in Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. In 2008-2010 within various research projects held the position of a researcher at the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. Since January 2011 she has been engaged in research project LOEWE-Digital Humanities at the same University.In 2003-2006 was scholarship holder of German research foundation DFG. Participant of international conferences and summer schools.
Actual research interests are: Syntax of Kartvelian languages, Old Georgian Manuscripts, Sociolinguistics.
