Esma Kunchulia

EsmaKunchulia is a doctoral student at the Institute of Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Humanities at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (supervisor - Nino Chikovani, Doctor of Historical Sciences).
The topic of EsmaKunchulia’s qualification thesis is the importance of national cuisine in the collective memory and identity of the nation. EsmaKunchulia's research interests include a person’s perception of the outside world through the 5 senses, the impact of taste and smell reception on the formation of the collective memory, and the importance of a collection of anonymous recipes, “national cuisine” in national identity.
