Darejan Tvaltvadze
Born 1958. Graduate the Faculty of Humanities of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (1980). PhD candidate dissertation entitled "Ephrem Mtsire - Commenter of Byzantine Ecclesiastical writing" (1997).
Published 1 monograph, 5 text books and about 70 scholarly works.
Major research interests: old Georgian language, history of Georgian literary language, Georgian paleography, codicology, problems of language and text of the translation of New Testament, old Georgian translations of medieval period, Byzantium-Georgian relations.
