Lela Tsikhelashvili

Lela Tsikhelashvili is a linguist, Doctor of Philology. She is an associate Professor at the department of ancient Georgian Language and textual research. Lela Tsikhelashvili gives lectures to the BA and MA students at the faculty of Humanities.
Lela Tsikhelashvili obtained her doctoral degree in 1999. She is the author of scientific articles dealing with the linguistic structure and the historical issues of grammar of Georgian (Kartvelian), the grammatical structure of ancient Georgian. Lela Tsikhelashvili gives a course on ancient Georgian language. She was a participant of the project “Titus” (“Armazi”), within which an electronic base of ancient and middle Georgian Text data was created.
